[vc_row][vc_column][ep_section_title title_text=”Mr. Navin Kumar, Chairman”][vc_column_text]Mr. Navin Kumar has recently completed his assignment as Chairman of the Goods and Services Tax Network, the organization responsible for providing IT infrastructure and services to the tax departments of the Central Government as well as 29 provincial governments in India for implementing the newly introduced GST. Under his leadership, a state of the art IT system of humongous size has been put into place to enable the governments to successfully roll out the new tax regime. The GST IT project steered by him has contributed significantly to the massive digital transformation taking place in India.
After doing Post Graduation in Physics with First Class academic credentials, Mr Kumar joined the senior civil service of India – the Indian Administrative Service – in 1975. In his long career spanning over 42 years, he has held positions of responsibility in the Provincial and Central Governments in areas such as education, social security, youth affairs, water resources, industries, IT and finance. He has served as the Chief Secretary of his home state Bihar, Secretary to Govt of India in the Union Ministry of Urban Development and the Chairman of Delhi Metro prior to taking up the task of setting up GST Network and developing the IT system for GST.
Mr. Kumar has a deep interest in devising ways of taking education to the remotest corners of India, a country that has emerged a leader in delivering IT services all over the world. As Chairman, the board of trustees, he wishes that the strength of the country in IT so ably demonstrated abroad needs to be fully exploited for propagating education within India through the IT platform. Further, the aptitude of the Indian students studying IT needs to be honed by exposing them to the latest developments in the field through contact with research scholars, technology professionals and management practitioners of leading institutions such as those in the Silicon Valley. He believes that Scholars University can play an important role in this context.[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][ep_section_title title_text=”Dr. Dipendra Sinha, Ex Officio member of the board”][vc_column_text]Dr. Dipendra Sinha, M.S. (Applied Mechanics), Ph.D.  is M.S. (Applied Mechanics),and Ph.D. (Applied Mechanics) from the Victoria University of Manchester, England with vast experience at Tata Steel in Design and Development and over 30 years as faculty member at University of Manitoba, Canada; Virginia Military Institute, Lexington, Virginia; University of Wisconsin (Platteville), Wisconsin, San Francisco State University, San Francisco, California. He has published  5 books on computer-aided engineering design and numerous technical papers.[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][ep_section_title title_text=”Dr. Piyush Sinha, member of the board and Faculty Representative”][vc_column_text]Dr. Piyush Sinha is a Professor of Marketing at Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIMA), India. Before IIMA, he has been faculty at IIM Bangalore, XIMB and Dean at MICA. Dr. Sinha holds a Ph.D. in marketing. His current research interests are in the areas of retailing and consumer behaviour, especially in format and store choice, loyalty programmes, petroleum retailing. He has published articles in International Journal of Retail and Distribution Management,  Journal of Retailing and Consumer Research, Journal of Brand Management.

Dr. Sinha conducts training programmes for senior managers in the area of Marketing, Retailing, Sales and Healthcare. These programmes have been conducted as open as well as company-based customized programme for several companies dealing in service, consumer products and industrial products.

Dr. Sinha has consulted companies in the areas of retail, service management, marketing strategies, and marketing communication. His clients include companies from engineering, software, media, petroleum and retailing. He is working with some of the leading retailing companies in India. The projects include loyalty programmes, enhancing the performance of the outlets and redefining the role of the outlets in the new environments. Recently, Dr. Sinha has been actively involved in the area of HealthCare access and education.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
